WIN A SEASON RACING IN THE CLUBMANS SPORTS PROTOTYPE SERIES

Win A Fully Funded Seasons Racing

Compete and win a fully funded seasons racing in the Clubmans Sports Prototype Series.

The Clubman's Sports Prototype series has been running for over 50 years, competing at all of the top circuits across the UK and regularly posting the quickest lap times at the meetings.

They're lightweight, slicks and wings sports cars which provide the perfect entry level into sports car racing or as a step out of karting. Running three classes, CSP1, CSP2 and CSP3. The competition is for a fully funded seasons racing in the CSP2 class in either the Dart (white), Vision (green) or Phantom (red). The final decision as to which car will be used will be confirmed later in 2019.

The CSP2 class is for 1600cc sealed Rover K Series engines, with 4 speed H pattern gearboxes. Further details can be seen via the series website at www.clubmans.org.uk.

The prize includes the following:

  • Arrive & drive use of one of our race cars

  • All 6 race entry fees

  • Friday test day entry fees prior to each event

  • 2 preseason test / track days, fees and arrive & drive use of our car

  • All race car fuel

  • Slick / wet tyres to cover the season

  • Insurance at each event

  • 3 x simulator days preseason to learn circuits

  • 1 x simulator day prior to each race weekend / test to learn circuits

  • Hospitality / catering at events

  • BARC and Clubmans membership fees

The competition will be divided into three stages:

  • Simulator session - up to 1 hours practice on a selected circuit followed by a 10 lap evaluation

  • Simulator session - 30 minutes practice followed by a 5 lap evaluation / feedback after a set up change

  • Karting session - 2 x 20 minute sessions or similar with on track evaluation

The competition is not a knock out basis, all competition entries will compete in all stages listed and the simulator sessions will all be using the same car and circuit combination announced on the day.

The competition is open to novices and race license holders with a minimum age of 15 years old. It's awarded on a points basis - the highest points total wins. In the event of a tie break, a final simulator session will be run.

Each evaluation is divided into categories which are closely related, consistency vs a set time, lines and placement and speed. Points are deducted for spins or accidents.

Simulator sessions will run November 2019 - January 2020 and Karting sessions December 2019 to February 2020. All points score sheets will be provided to each entrant at a later date electronically following the event.
